With more than 13,500 visitors and over 100 exhibitors and speakers in 2025, the KI-Festival on July 25-26 in Heilbronn has become one of the most exciting places for civil society and applied artificial intelligence to come together.
For the 5th anniversary of our AI festival, we are now looking for the best AI experts, visionaries and enablers who want to realize this common mission with us: We make AI tangible, understandable and approachable. Apply now with your contribution and help us to encourage the future.
The character of this festival is unique: open to everyone, without registration, free of charge and based on the idea of shaping the future together. Here, professionals meet interested people, experts meet beginners. The goal of the festival is not only to demonstrate technology, but also to make it understandable and to break down fears of contact.
For our anniversary edition, we are focusing on one central question: Are we ready to actively shape change? Do we have the necessary skills and attitudes to not just react, but to take the lead? The festival sees itself as a place of active preparation – a space for thinking, trying out and questioning.
Become part of the program
We are now looking for contributions that breathe exactly this spirit. Our “Open Call” is aimed at anyone who would like to share their knowledge and ideas:
- Exhibitors: Companies & research institutions with hands-on use cases.
- Example 2025: The interactive robot Mirokai or the public public-oriented AI projects of the CIVIC CODING innovation network.
- Speakers: Personalities who inspire and stimulate discussions with keynotes and talks.
- Example 2025: thought leaders such as Mina Saidze or science mediator Jacob Beautemps.
- Workshops: Doers who impart practical knowledge.
- Example 2025: De-biasing through prompting: countering prejudices.
- Artists: Artists who make AI tangible in a creative way.
- Example 2025: Interactive installations such as the talking Mona Lisa of the Talking Paintings.
- Supporting program: Contributions that provide the right festival vibes.
- Example 2025: Capturing a festival moment in a photo van.
We cordially invite you to submit your concepts. It is important to us that we are not looking for product advertising, but real educational offers and experiences with added value. Entries will be selected according to fixed, transparent criteria, which we have compiled for you in our Open Call Guide.
As the IPAI Foundation, we are building bridges. We enable people to understand and benefit from AI in its daily application. Because we are convinced that everyone should be able to engage with the possibilities and dimensions of this technology – regardless of prior knowledge.
Fair, non-profit and open to all
The KI-Festival is a non-profit festival. Both admission for visitors and participation as an organizer are free of charge. We allocate the limited places on a curated basis to ensure a diverse and high-quality program that fulfils our educational mission.
