To drive social and technological progress around human-centric AI, we at IPAI engage with key stakeholders and empower them through a wide variety of formats across science, research, business, society, and the public sector.

The IPAI Foundation invites people to actively participate in AI developments, discussions, and decision-making, helping to break down barriers and reduce apprehension.

In doing so, it fosters diversity in research and knowledge transfer, ensuring that the latest insights and technologies reach business practice, the public sector, and society in a responsible, value-adding way.

As a non-profit organization, the IPAI Foundation complements the economic activities of the IPAI AI innovation platform with a societal focus, making a vital contribution to our shared vision of shaping the Global Home of Human AI.

The Foundation focuses on two key areas: It engages in the field of science and the transformation of AI (“AI Science & Transformation”) and promotes active dialogue, knowledge acquisition, and participation in AI (“AI Engagement & Literacy”).

The goal: To build trust in technology, empower people to work with AI, and shape a nuanced societal dialogue around AI that sparks enthusiasm for AI and the future.

AI SCIENCE & TRANSFORMATION

The IPAI Foundation is dedicated to translating scientific findings directly into society, the economy, and the public sector to foster sustainable and socially relevant solutions through the use of AI. It works to close existing research gaps—for example, through funding programs—supporting collaboration and co-innovation among leading research institutions, companies, and public institutions. In addition, it actively brings pioneering perspectives on human-centric technology approaches and artificial intelligence onto the public agenda and helps shape them.

As a first step, the focus is specifically on developing projects and programs around the following topics: Women in AI, GovTech, and AI research transfer featuring an IPAI Science Residency Program.

AI Engagement & Literacy

In the field of AI Engagement & Literacy, the IPAI Foundation creates a wide variety of opportunities to interact with AI in accessible ways, such as through playful or artistic approaches. It aims to inspire people, spark their interest in technology, and lower the threshold for engagement.

The goal is to foster an informed, engaged, and inclusive environment where everyone is given the skills and opportunity to engage with AI constructively and responsibly.
